COAs & 3RD PARTY TESTING

Every claim about a research product should point back to analytical data. A Certificate of Analysis (COA) is the lab-issued document that does exactly that — and third-party testing is the independent verification that removes manufacturer bias.

WHAT IS A COA?

A Certificate of Analysis is a formal document prepared by an analytical laboratory for a specific product. It is not marketing — it is the primary scientific record behind a vial. A complete peptide COA reports four categories of measurement, each tied to the product it verifies:

Identity

Mass spectrometry confirms the molecule is exactly what the label claims — the correct sequence and molecular weight for that batch.

Purity

Reversed-phase HPLC reports the percentage of the sample that is the target peptide versus impurities (truncated sequences, oxidised variants, residual solvent).

Content

Net peptide content separates the actual peptide from counterions and water, so you know how much active material is in the vial.

Safety

Endotoxin levels, sterility and residual-solvent screens document the handling profile of each batch.

WHAT IS 3RD PARTY TESTING?

Third-party testing means the analysis is carried out by an independent laboratory that is separate from the manufacturer. Because the testing lab has no commercial interest in the result, its COA carries more weight than an in-house report — it confirms (or challenges) what the supplier claims about identity, purity and safety without bias. For research buyers, independent verification is the single most reliable signal of batch consistency and product integrity.

TEST RESULTS ON THE WAY

We are compiling third-party test results for the two.three catalogue. Certificates of Analysis will be published to this section on a per-product basis as they become available — so every product can be traced back to its analytical evidence.
